Terms of Use

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App you confirm that you are at least 13 and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us at calum.d.lawrence@gmail.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You can delete your account at any time from inside the App (Profile → Delete account) or by emailing us. Account deletion is permanent and removes your rounds, scorecards, photos, and profile within 30 days. See section 8 for how this interacts with your subscription.

The App is offered as an auto-renewable subscription, sold through the Apple App Store. The current plans are:

• Premium Monthly — £2.99 per month, billed monthly.
• Premium Annual — £29.99 per year, billed annually.

Prices outside the United Kingdom are set by Apple's price matrix and may vary by region. The current price for your region is shown on the subscription screen inside the App before you confirm your purchase.

30-day free trial

• New subscribers receive a 30-day free trial of Premium when they first subscribe.
• You will not be charged anything during the trial. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you will not be charged and your access ends at the end of the trial.
• One free trial is available per Apple ID per subscription group. If you have already used a trial for Fore the Record, you will be charged immediately when you subscribe.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, in accordance with Apple's standard terms.

Auto-renewal

• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the cost of the chosen plan (currently £2.99/month or £29.99/year, plus any applicable taxes).

Managing and cancelling

• You can manage or cancel your subscription, including turning off auto-renewal, at any time from your iPhone in Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Fore the Record, or from apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
• Cancelling stops auto-renewal but does not provide a refund for the current paid period — you keep access until the end of it.
• Uninstalling the App does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel through Apple as described above.

Refunds

All payments are handled by Apple. Refunds are administered solely by Apple under their refund policy. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to process refunds directly.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates anyone's rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App, except as permitted by applicable law.
• Interfere with the App's servers, security, or other users.
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property, is unlawful, or contains malware.
• Share your account or sublicence your access to the App.

You retain ownership of the rounds, photos, notes, and other content you create or upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, royalty-free licence to store, transmit, and process Your Content solely to operate and provide the App to you.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload Your Content. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

The App, its design, copy, the Fore the Record name, wordmark, and all other materials supplied by us are owned by Calum Lawrence or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you no rights to use them beyond using the App as intended.

Course names, rankings, and related data are provided for informational purposes. Any third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also update these Terms. For material changes that affect your rights, we will notify you in the App or by email at least 14 days before the new Terms take effect. Continuing to use the App after the new Terms take effect means you accept them.

If we change subscription pricing, we will give you at least 30 days' notice via the App or by email. Apple will also notify you and require you to confirm the new price before any renewal at the new price.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach these Terms or use the App in a way that puts our service or other users at risk. We'll give you reasonable notice unless the breach is serious or doing so would cause harm.

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. Important: deleting your account does not automatically cancel your Apple subscription. You must cancel through Apple separately as described in section 3.

If your account is terminated by us for breach, no refund is owed for the current paid period.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the App's availability, reliability, accuracy, fitness for purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that course data, rankings, or other third-party information shown in the App is complete or accurate. The App is a personal logbook — not professional advice on courses, handicap calculation, or competition rules.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud).

Subject to the above, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in subscription fees in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) £50.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages — including lost data, lost profits, or loss of enjoyment — even if we've been advised of the possibility.

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no responsibility for the App or its content. The following standard provisions apply between you and Apple:

• These Terms are between you and Calum Lawrence only, not Apple.
• Calum Lawrence, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
• In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• Calum Lawrence is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including product-liability claims and claims that the App fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement.
• Calum Lawrence is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any third-party intellectual-property infringement claim related to the App.
• You must comply with the applicable App Store Terms of Service when using the App.
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK (Scotland or Northern Ireland), you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
